EarthBound coming to Wii U Virtual Console

Earthbound, Nintendo’s 1994 sci-fi RPG, is getting released this year in North America and Europe via the Wii U Virtual Console.

Revealed by Satoru Itwata during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, the game’s western release was a reaction to fan outcry on Nintendo’s Miiverse.

While the game has been out in Japan for several month, Iwata promises more detail on the western release in the coming months.

Just checked my calendar....indeed it is not April 1st. Hurray! I wonder if they will replace some of the music since that is what was supposedly keeping it from being released.
