TMNT Face Off: Turtles in Time vs. The Hyperstone Heist

Nintendo vs. Sega, time travel vs. hyperstones, Turtle vs. Turtle. This week I played TMNT IV: Turtles in Time and TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist so I could review and compare them to find out which Turtles game reigns supreme.

I never did play this so i'm definitely intrigued. It has a similar SMB3 look to it, although a little more polished. Not so much in the game play obviously, but...well, I'm sure you know what I mean.

This looks like a type of game that I would buy, play a handful of times, and keep it on the shelf for awhile. So...don't think I'll drop three brown notes on this one.

Nice review. The game reminds me of Kirby's Adventure in terms of the feeling of joy it'd give thanks to its graphical style. I've been wanting to try this game since I first got my NES 7 years ago, but due to it's rarity, have yet to do so. I now have a NES cart with a famicom adapter so I could get the Famicom version for far less, but it'd probably just be easier for me to play it on an emulator.

@MegaSilverX1 Thanks! It does have a really neat visual style. I love all the enemies and the facial expressions on Cookie. I think emulation is a good way to go for these kind of games that are so hard to find.
